SwitchIt.green is a not-for-profit organisation that was established in order to help people move their money out of institutions, including banks, that use their money to fund companies that deal with fossil fuels.
Sustainable achievements
- She has spent the past few years being dedicated to making others understand the importance of the climate and ecological emergency
- For two years she worked with Extinction Rebellion to develop a messaging strategy to encourage others to understand the climate and ecological emergency
- She built SwitchIt.green as she saw that those that handled out money needed to make huge changes in where they invested this money
- Through SwitchIt.green, Sophie has helped move over $180 million to institutions that are taking action to create a clean energy future
- Sophie has used the resources she has to expose the banks, energy providers and pension providers that are giving our money to fossil fuel companies
