About Make My Money Matter
The Make My Money Matter campaign is powered by the people in order to fight for the right for everyone to know where their pensions are being invested. The campaign is working hard to encourage people to demand the right to have a say in where their pensions are being invested in order for a better future to be built.
The campaign wishes to prove to people that their money has the power to help fight climate change. There is currently trillions of pounds worth of pensions saved and if invested in the right places could help to create a sustainable future.
Their three objectives
- For everyone to be proud of the pension they have, that will create a healthy planet and healthy returns.
- Organisations and businesses should have pensions that align with their values.
- Banks and industry should make sure the planet, people and profit are on par when it comes to pensions.

Currently many of our pensions are being used to fund harmful projects that include:
- Arms
- Deforestation
- Fossil Fuels
- Gambling
- Tobacco
Helpful investments
Green and sustainable pensions mean that our pension money is being invested into projects that will help both people and the planet, including:
- Clean Energy
- Green Transport
- Healthcare
- Human Rights
- Reforestation
